Stacey and Joe met in 2014 on a dating website, although neither of us can remember which one. After chatting online we met up for our first date; breakfast at a diner in Los Altos. They’ve changed ownership and names now, unfortunately! Fast-forward a bit more than a year later and we have a new puppy named Teddy and we’re living together in Union City.
Some of our favorite things to do are taking morning drives to the coast, wine tasting, coffee, good food and enjoying our canine company. Joe has more hobbies than can possibly be listed here, but a few of the notable ones are cars, computers, video games and 3D printing.
Joe proposed on Valentines Day, 2021. We headed out to Half Moon Bay early in the morning, to beat the traffic, of course. The plan was to propose with the ocean as our backdrop, but it turned out that lots of other people also thought it was a nice day for the beach. We got back home and the ring was still bulging in Joe’s pocket, unbeknownst to Stacey. That evening was misty and foggy, the kind of haze you only get every once in a while. On our evening walk with Teddy; Joe finally proposed, on one knee, with a blindingly bright headlamp pointed right at Stacey. She said yes, after recovering her sight and wits from the blinding light.
